BRINKFALL

Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 29, 2026

Brinkfall does not ask for your name, your email address, or any account sign-up. It has no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party tracking.

The only information that leaves your device is what is needed to play a multiplayer match: an anonymous identifier that tells the two players apart, and the contents of the match itself.

If you never play multiplayer, nothing leaves your device.

This policy explains what information the Brinkfall mobile game (the “app”) collects, why, and what happens to it.

Brinkfall is published by Mister Marbi’s LLC, an Illinois limited liability company doing business as Mister Marbi (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at support@mistermarbi.com.

What we collect, and why

Anonymous identifier

The first time you use a multiplayer feature, the app creates an anonymous account through Google Firebase Authentication. This produces a random identifier that is not linked to your name, email address, phone number, or Google or Apple account.

It exists for one purpose: to tell the two players in a match apart, so your moves are recorded as yours and your opponent cannot alter your side of the board.

The identifier is stored on your device so that you remain the same player between sessions and can rejoin a match after closing the app.

Match data

While you are playing or waiting for a multiplayer match, the following is stored on our matchmaking service:

This data describes a game of Brinkfall. It contains nothing about you personally.

Information collected by our service provider

We use Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore) to run multiplayer. In providing that service, Google receives standard technical information including your IP address and basic request details. This is inherent to any internet service and is handled under Google’s own terms, available at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.

Purchases

If you buy anything in the app, payment is handled entirely by the platform store — Google Play or the Apple App Store — under that store’s own terms. We never see or receive your payment details. The app records only whether an item has been unlocked, and that record is stored on your own device.

What we do not collect

To be explicit, Brinkfall does not collect or use:

The app contains no third-party advertising or analytics software.

Stored only on your device

Your progress is saved locally and is not uploaded. This includes your win and loss record, your settings, your chosen loadout and visual themes, and which items you have unlocked.

Deleting the app removes this local data. Because it is not backed up to us, it cannot be recovered.

How long we keep things

DataRetention
Waiting and in-progress matches Kept while the match is active. Matches that are cancelled or never joined are deleted immediately.
Completed and abandoned matches Removed periodically once finished or inactive.
Anonymous identifier Kept until you delete the app or ask us to remove it.

Sharing

We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising or marketing.

The only third parties involved are Google, as provider of the Firebase infrastructure that runs multiplayer and of the Google Play store, and Apple, for purchases made on iOS.

Your opponent in a multiplayer match sees your in-game actions and your chosen visual theme. They do not see your identifier or anything about you personally.

Children

Brinkfall is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it holds nothing that could identify a child. If you believe a child’s information has reached us, contact support@mistermarbi.com and we will remove it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to your data, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted.

Because the app holds no information that identifies you personally, the practical form of these rights is deletion. To request removal of your anonymous identifier and any associated match data, email support@mistermarbi.com. We aim to respond within 30 days. To locate your data we will need enough detail to identify it, such as when you played and the match codes involved, since we hold nothing else that points to you.

You can delete everything stored locally by uninstalling the app.

Notice for California residents

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, we disclose the following.

In the twelve months before the date above, we collected the categories of information described in this policy: an anonymous identifier, gameplay records, and internet activity in the form of IP address and request data received by our service provider. These are collected for the sole purpose of operating the game, and are retained as described above.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. We have not done so in the preceding twelve months. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.

We do not collect sensitive personal information as that term is defined under the CPRA, and therefore offer no limitation right in respect of it.

California residents may request to know, delete, or correct personal information, and will not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. Requests go to support@mistermarbi.com.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top will be updated and significant changes will be noted in the app.
